ABOUT THIS BETTA
This spectacular Male HMPK Black Vampire Galaxy Betta features an intense combination of a very dark body, dramatic blood-red coloration and brilliant metallic Galaxy markings.
His body displays a deep black to dark chocolate base with rich red marbling across the head, upper body and fins. The contrast between the dark body and vivid red coloration creates the dramatic appearance associated with the Black Vampire name.
Scattered across the head, shoulder and upper body are brilliant electric-blue, turquoise and icy-white metallic scales. These isolated flashes of color create a distinctive Galaxy-style pattern against the dark background.
His finnage adds even more character. Strong blood-red coloration appears through the ventral and anal fins, while the caudal displays beautiful blue and turquoise metallic rays mixed with darker and red coloration.
The dorsal fin also carries an unusual combination of dark, red and soft peach/orange coloration, adding another layer of contrast to an already highly distinctive fish.
The combination of black, blood red, electric blue, turquoise, icy white and peach gives this male a unique multicolor appearance that can change dramatically depending on lighting and viewing angle.

COLOR & DEVELOPMENT NOTICE
Bettas may continue developing in coloration, pattern, metallic coverage and finnage as they mature.
This is especially important with Galaxy, marble and highly metallic Bettas. Their patterns and distribution of color may continue changing throughout development.
Metallic and iridescent coloration can also appear dramatically different depending on lighting and viewing angle. His metallic markings may appear electric blue, turquoise, aqua, icy blue or white under different aquarium lighting.
Bettas may temporarily lose some coloration during shipping due to stress, darkness and travel. This is normal.
After proper acclimation and settling into a clean, warm aquarium, coloration normally begins returning within approximately 48 hours to one week.

In many cases, you can purchase a second Betta for the same shipping cost as one fish.
SHIPPING SCHEDULE
Live fish are normally shipped Monday and Tuesday to reduce the possibility of packages being held at a carrier facility over the weekend.
During holiday weeks or severe weather conditions, our shipping schedule may be adjusted for the safety of the fish.
HOLD FOR PICKUP
During very hot or cold weather, we recommend requesting HOLD FOR PICKUP at the carrier facility.
This helps prevent the package from spending unnecessary time inside a delivery vehicle or sitting outside your home exposed to extreme temperatures.
ARRIVAL & ACCLIMATION
Please do not be alarmed if your Betta appears pale or less colorful immediately after arrival. Shipping can be stressful, and temporary color loss is normal.
Allow your new Betta time to properly acclimate to the temperature and water conditions of its new aquarium.
Bettas are resilient travelers and can safely go several days without food during transportation.
LIVE ARRIVAL / DOA POLICY
We carefully package every fish and stand behind our live-arrival policy. In the unfortunate event that your fish arrives DOA, please contact us immediately after delivery.
Clear photographs of the fish inside the original unopened shipping bag may be required to verify a DOA claim.
Once the claim has been verified, we will work with you according to our live-arrival policy.
If a replacement fish is provided, the buyer may be responsible for the replacement shipping charges.
The live-arrival guarantee cannot cover losses caused by incorrect addresses, missed deliveries, refusal of delivery, packages left outside for extended periods, or other circumstances outside our control.
