Weather Protection and Packaging

Our live fish are carefully packaged using protective materials and insulation appropriate for shipping conditions. Heat packs or cold packs may be included depending on the weather.

We reserve the right to delay shipment during extreme temperatures, severe weather, or holidays to protect the fish.

Hold for Pickup: We recommend carrier hold-for-pickup service when appropriate to minimize exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures.

DOA - Dead on Arrival Policy

We take every reasonable precaution to prepare and package our fish for safe transportation. However, shipping live animals involves inherent risks.

In the unfortunate event of a Dead on Arrival (DOA), please contact us promptly through eBay messages.

Clear photographs of the fish and original shipping packaging are required for review. Please retain all packaging materials until the claim has been evaluated.

Shipping insurance claims may require additional documentation.

DOA claims are reviewed individually according to our store policies and applicable eBay buyer protections.

Acclimation and Care Instructions

1. Prepare a clean, fully cycled aquarium before arrival.
2. Maintain stable water temperatures around 78-80 F.
3. Float the sealed shipping bag briefly to equalize temperature.
4. Carefully acclimate your betta to aquarium conditions.
5. Transfer the fish gently without adding shipping water to the aquarium.
6. Keep aquarium lighting subdued during initial adjustment.
7. Monitor your new fish closely during the first 24-48 hours.

Temporary stress or reduced coloration may occur following transportation. Clean water, stable conditions, and a peaceful environment will help your new betta adjust comfortably.
